Drained investments into the upgrading of operating “Terminal Astafiev” enables to soup up coal terminalling capacity up to 6 mln. tons per year.

Two-stage investment program of the upgrading “Terminal Astafiev” is suggested to be 3 years (2012-2015) and to be estimated 2,3 bln. roubles or 72 mln. US dollars for infrastructure.

On the first stage it is planned to have 3 mln coal tons in 2013. The total investment requirement is estimated for 800 mln. roubles or 25 mln. US dollars.

On the second stage it is planned to have 6 mln. coal tons in 2015. The total investment requirement is estimated for 1.5 bln. roubles or 47 mln. US dollars.

Two-stage upgrading model is considered to be the economic model for terminal upgrading enabling to provide the control over operating project investments, safety ballast and quick investments payback.

Eventual investors:

  • Russian coal companies to be interested in operating competitive coal export to APR countries
  • Foreign import-companies to be interested in operating smooth and hi-rel supplies
  • Banks and the other financial bodies to be interested in investments to the advanced branches of Russian Federation economy
  • Companies supplied technological facilities and technology for operating up-to-date terminalling body
